Dare I mention that the Christmas season is fast approaching, and now is the time to get a head start on gift making? These craf-tea ideas for gifts are all simple to make and can be personalized for any occasion.
The teapot hand towel or tea towel was one of my favourite little projects to make. I’ve used different motifs from teapots, to rabbits, to Hallowe’en ghosts.
Why not tuck a tea card inside a greeting card. Add a favourite tea, mine is Stash, or a festive tea bag inside. It’s a lovely way to let a friend know you are thinking of them.
Festive teabags were made using coffee filters, cookie cutters and my sewing machine. Trace your festive shape, cut out two, sew around most of the edge, fill with loose tea and finish stitching. Do you want to make that little mug? (plastic canvas and yarn) Be sure to look at my pattern.
Tea charms are quick and easy to make with lobster clasps, jump rings and little tea charms. I bought mine on the internet by searching for tea pot charms. I originally made them as knit and crochet markers but they also fit nicely on teabags and tea strainers.
A little package of Christmas tea is a cute little gift to tuck into a greeting card to let friends and relatives know you are thinking of them
Have you started your Christmas craft list yet? It’s not that far away.
