The birds have vacated the birdhouse for awhile so the black squirrel decided to check it out. He examined the sign post, perhaps deciding where to go. I don’t think he was interested in the here or there just in the up and down. It made a convenient ladder for him to get to the top.
Up he went, stopping on different signs to look around.
He went all the way to the top and took a little rest.
Better check out this birdhouse as it could be a good place to stash some food.

These photos were taken through the kitchen door on a bit of a dull day using the full zoom on my Nikon camera.
You either love or ate squirrels in your garden. I love watching all the antics they get up to.
The photos were all taken quite quickly as they don’t rest for long.
Then he climbed back down his signpost ladder and went on his way looking for peanuts and seeds.
