Lady Georgiana Rannoch is 35th in line for the throne and is the heroine in Her Royal Spyness mysteries written by Rhys Bowen. Along with her good friend Belinda Warburton-Stoke and her unofficial fiance Darcy O’Mara they sleuth out mysterious happenings in well to do families.  Her family home was inherited by her brother as was customary in those days that property went to the oldest son in the family.  So she was penniless and had to find her own way in life.

Get to know Georgina, or Georgie, in this series, as she carrys out a series of plans devised by the Queen, her cousin.  You’ll meet Belinda, Darcy, Queenie (Georgie’s very common main), her mother, and her grandfather a former policeman.  Each character develops his or her own personality as the series evolves.

In the 6th book in the series Heirs and Graces, Lady Victoria Georgiana Charlotte Eugenie, daughter to the Duke of Atholt and Rannoch (her official name) was staying in a house with her mother.

Her mother decided to go and live with Max von Strohheim, a German industrialist who was her current beau.  Georgie had till the end of the month to remain in the house but after that had to figure out what to do.  She decided to write to her cousin the Queen and see if there was something she could do for her.  The Queen frequently had Georgie represent her at various functions or stately homes.  And so Georgie had lunch with the Queen and had a new adventure awaiting for her. You’ll have to read the books to find out what happens.

I’ve read 10 of the 14 books currently in the series. The last few are about Georgie’s wedding to Darcy. They are next on my request list from the library.

The Royal Spyness series has been on my TBR list for a long time! I want to listen to them on audio but was having trouble finding the first one through the library and I hate to start a series out of order. I should look for the prequel as you suggest and start there!

Yes I am enjoying this series, I am not as far along as yourself but am listening to Naughty ‘n Nice at the moment. The narrator is so good.

I’ve dipped into this series and enjoyed it. Fun characters, fun time period. The Daisy Dalrymples by Carola Dunn are another fun look at the 1920s.

I also love the Daisy Dalrympole series and will be doing a post on it soon. Thanks for stopping by. Happy reading.
