One of our daughter’s family has 2 dachunds and I wanted to capture them on tiles that they could take to their trailer.

All my other painting has been on rocks, so this was a new adventure for me.

The leftover tile, about 13×30 cm, are from when we had the new kitchen put in and I’m finally finding a use for them. Which proves you should never get rid of things that might be handy later on.

I love drawing zentangles and was inspired when I saw a dachshund done in zentangles. If you want to search dachshund zentangle you will find all sorts of patterns.

I traced the outline of the dog on the tiles.

Then using paint pens I outlined and added zentangle patterns all over the bodies.

Each tile received a couple of sprays of fixative and I’m hoping this will protect them while they are displayed outside their trailer.

I’ve got more tiles leftover so will be trying to paint some more things on them.
