Fuller Native and Rare Plants

posted in: Daycation, Out and About | 0

A week or so ago we visited Fuller Native & Rare Plants.  I love places like this as you know the plants are grown in our gardening zone so will do well in my garden.  They specialize in native perennials, wildflowers, grasses, ferns, shrub seedlings and bulbs.

This is fairly close to home but for some reason we hadn’t been before but thanks to a reminder from Jenn at Cottage Country Reflections we took that short drive and weren’t disappointed.

There was such a variety of plants to choose from.

They had the most amazing rock gardens.  I now have rock garden envy!

The rocks were huge and had all sorts of plants growing among them.  I saw one of his yuccas that looked just like mine so was glad to talk to the owner and see what he thought about it.  BTW, I’ve trimmed all the dead parts off of mine and now the new little shoots are growing through nicely.

Each plant had its own description which makes it easier for me to remember all the details.

I purchased a Jack in the pulpit

and an anemone.

And thanks to digital photography I’ve got a copy of the description.  I’ve added the plants to my garden and hope they grow well.

If you are in my vicinity stop by Fuller Native & Rare Plants and pick up some plants for your garden. ** Unfortunately this place is permanently closed.
