Towards the end of 2010 I was determined to master knitting on dpns – double pointed needles. Many people use 2 circular needles now, but being an old fashioned gal I wanted to knit them the way they did way back when. I chose a patterns from Pattons which was a tube sock, that way it would fit any sized foot, and I wouldn’t have to worry about learning how to turn a heel right away.
The first pair were a mixed blue colour and I was pleased how they turned out.
The next pair were fun to do as I knitted most of them on the train as we went across Canada from Toronto to Vancouver to visit family on Vancouver Island. It was amazing how many others were knitting on the train as well and it was a great conversation starter.
