Lorna Barrett writes the series A Booktown Mystery set in Stoneham, New Hampshire. This is a quaint little village with a variety of specialty bookstores.
Tricia Miles moved to Stoneham and opened her own mystery bookstore, Haven’t Got A Clue. Other characters in the books are Miss Marple (cat), Tricia’s sister Angelica, Mr. Everett (her bookstore assistant), Ginny, and Pixie.
There are currently 15 books in this series and I’m just waiting to read the last couple of them.
What was once a dying town now has its fair share of dead bodies, from other book store owners, to authors, neighbours and friends.
You can choose to read the books in any order but I find it best to read the series from the beginning and then you can follow the character development and see how they interact with each other.
These are the covers of a few of the books I’ve read. It is a nice cozy mystery series that I’m sure you will enjoy. It is perfect for the upcoming colder weather.
Time for a Book Date.

I also prefer to read books in chronological order!
Murchie’s had a special Thanksgiving sale (10% off), but I managed to restrain myself. LOL.
Happy Thanksgiving, Linda!

I get the Munchie’s emails and it is hard not to give in and order. I’m getting better 🙂

They look great. Love love the covers. And yes I believe with any series like these best to start at beginning because the character development is the part I really like.

Thanks for stopping by Kathryn.

Hi Linda
So nice to hear from you again. I need to find the books by Lorna Barret. It sounds like something I would like.
Not much going on in my life. I read a lot and crocheting on a afghan I started last year. I keep busy and try to do some baking cookies mostly. The gluten free chocolate chip cookies sound great. I am on a gluten free diet now.
Take care and be safe.
