The Esquimalt Lagoon
One of our most favourite places to visit when in British Columbia is the Esquimalt Lagoon. This salt water lagoon by the Royal Roads University is a bird sanctuary for migrating birds and also a wildlife refuge area.

On a gorgeous day in September we visited Canada’s oldest Chinatown in Victoria, British Columbia. Only the Chinatown in San Francisco is older. The grand entrance way, Gate of Harmonious Interest, over the street is spectacular to see.

On our visits to British Columbia one of the things we love to do is take a ride on the harbour ferries or taxis. This is the best way to see the harbour and all the surrounding sights.
