This cute little knitted pouch is the perfect stash busting project that you can knit up quickly and save for gift giving later. You can make it in all different colours to hold all sorts of things and it would be the perfect little gift.
Here it is all finished on top of one of my favourite bags – the granny with the green ‘purse’onality. It measures 10 cm x 15 cm (4 x 6 inches for my non metric visitors).
It was knit on 3.75 mm needles with a small amount of yarn. I used some Red Heart yarn left over from a bigger project. As long as it is worsted weight yarn you can use whatever you have on hand. It was a simple pattern with just 4 rows that kept repeating. Thank you Moogly for a great little pattern.
And just look at all the things I found to tuck inside …. a travel size pouch of tissues, all sorts of odds and ends that you never know if you will need when you are out, and it even holds my iphone. I’m not sure that’s the best way to carry my iphone, because when it rings it might be a bit hard slow to get it out.
Just to prove I’m a bag lady … here are the various bags and totes I’ve made in the past few years … and yes, I do use all of them. I love ‘purse’onality.
While finding things to put inside it to photograph I thought this would make a great little gift for a friend that you could fill with all the daily necessities. It would also hold a mini travel sewing kit. I bet you could even find a little notebook and a few pencils for the children to keep them occupied while travelling, at an appointment or just when you need to keep them quiet for a few minutes. You are only limited by your own imagination as to what this cute little pouch will hold.
Now I’ve got a blue one on the needles to match my blue bag.
What would you put in a cute little purse?
I’m sharing with Stash busting party.
