Cobourg Beach Daycation

It was a glorious day for daycation.  Cobourg is a wonderful town about 40 minutes to the west of us along the 401 Highway.

Daycations are fun, short day trips to take to visit wonderful places close to home.

There is a big expanse of sandy beach, quiet in the morning except for some gulls and a few beach walkers.

There is a snack bar, a splash pad, play structures, gardens, harbour and more.  If you want to do a bit of shopping the downtown is just a short walk away.

This is a day use area only and there are many wonderful spots to have a picnic.

A glorious harbour for your boat or just to admire the boats.  I think I could happily live in one of the condos overlooking the harbour and watch it change from day to day.

A search and rescue boat is located in the harbour.  It was a calm day for reflections in the water. I’m sharing the signs with Signs, Signs.

We live in an amazing part of Ontario and each summer the tourists flock here for the scenery, the wineries, the beaches, the antique shops, the artist galleries and more.
