The Glenora Ferry connects Prince Edward County to Adolphustown. It is part of Highway 33, or the Loyalist Parkway. This is a free ferry service that runs every 30minutes all year round, and more frequently in the summer during peak tourist times.
You can exit your vehicle and stand at the front or sides of the ferry during the brief trip across the water. The views are lovely.
We have only taken the ferry in the summer months – fair weather travellers – so I have no idea what a winter crossing would be like. I do know that I probably wouldn’t be getting out of my vehicle. So I’m thinking warmer weather and another ride on the ferry.
For those of you that have visited my part of the province of Ontario … have you ever taken the Glenora Ferry?
I’m sharing with Our World Tuesday.
