Spring is getting closer. This year spring arrives in our area on March 19. That is a bit earlier than usual, perhaps that is what the groundhog meant by an early spring!
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! We have already had some lovely weather, warm enough to sit on the deck and soak up some sun and spend time walking around the garden.
The first plants to poke through the ground are the Egyptian Walking onions and the chives.
Tulips are also poking through the ground in a sheltered sunny area close to the house.
And here comes the rhubarb, with the promise of some tasty recipes.
The daylilies or ditch lilies as I call them are showing lots of promising growth.
The red wing black birds and the cow birds have returned.
The rabbits have been out enjoying the food under the feeders.
I’m enjoying the garden on days when the weather allows it. The first day of spring isn’t always the first spring day.
The Gardener Side grows: bulbs, corms & tubers, plants, seeds & seedpods, and veggies & herbs in different garden areas
