If you are down my way and driving through Prince Edward County you must visit The Galloping Goat. It is located to the south of Picton on the road to Milford.
This is an eclectic store by the Black River and just across the road from The Black River Cheese Factory. In fact the Galloping Goat is in the original building for the cheese factory.
The signs say it all … jewellery, clothes, garden art, signs, ice cream, goodies, gifts and more.
There are all sorts of whimsical and fun items for the garden. An old, old tree is decorated with all sorts of neat things.
The sides of the old barn are covered in all sorts of garden art.
Peek inside and see shelves, display cases, an upper floor and the ceiling covered into all sorts of items to temp you. You can browse the time away until you find something that takes your fancy.
It is a fun daycation that we take a couple of times a year. We usually always treat ourselves to some extra, extra old cheese from the Black River Cheese Factory, buy some fresh veggies from Vicki’s Veggies, perhaps have lunch at our favourite restaurant in Picton, do some shopping in Picton, or relax and watch the wildlife on the Black River.
