I’ve been working on this baby blanket for a little while now. It was finished a couple of weeks ago and I’ve finally taken some photos of it to share with you. This pattern is called Around the Rosy and I’m sure you will like it if you check it out. I’ve made all of the grandchildren round ripple blankets. The boys had blue and white ones and the girls pink variegated ones. I did change up the pattern a little bit and added the row of cluster stitches more frequently. The original pattern only has 2 rows while mine has 4.
I used a 5 mm crochet hook and some Loops and Thread Snuggly Wuggly yarn (from Michael’s)
This blanket is for our fourth grandchild and second granddaughter that is due to arrive in early March.
The pattern startes out in the round, as you can see from the center of the blanket, but gradually changes to a 12 point star as you start the ripple process.
The temperatures this morning are a frigid -25 Celsius with wind chills making it feel like -31 Celsius. It is a day to stay inside and snuggle with a blanket
