Several years ago I made a crochet tree skirt to go under the Christmas tree.
The pattern is based on one from Lion Brand for a shoulder snuggle. When laid flat it was perfect for under the tree. It was made with odds and ends of red, green, and variegated yarn. You can choose whatever colours you wish.
I tried to write up the pattern from the finished item as I could not find it anywhere in my pattern box or on the computer. I’ll keep looking. If it is slightly off, try to make adjustments yourself. When I get some more yarn I’ll make another one and correct any mistakes. This pattern does not account for changes in yarn colour so you can change to suit yourself if your are using odds and ends of yarn. Of course, a search of Ravelry patterns will give you oddles of various patterns.

- Fasten off.
- Add edging of your choice if you prefer
I make sure the opening goes to the back of the tree, that way it isn’t visible. It is great for tucking wires from lights underneath and it hides the tree stand.
It brightens up the space under the tree and makes it look very festive.
Do you have a tree skirt under your tree?
