On a rather overcast day we went walking down by the bay. The colours on the trees were ‘tree’mendous. There were so many photos to take … of the trees, the water, the swans, the ducks, the heron and the cormorants.
The skies were a mix of light and dark grey clouds, some clear patches and just a tiny bit of sun.
Vivid reds, oranges and yellows were everywhere.
There weren’t that many bare trees. There were a few coloured leaves floating on the water but I bet there will be lots more in the next week or so.
The water was still in the pond and perfect for reflections in colour.
The water levels were really low and in some places it was just mud. Usually there are a fair number of ducks in this pond.
This wooden platform is for the turtles to sun themselves. There weren’t any out that morning. On another visit we also saw a black crowned night heron on the platform.
There were a few drops of rain by the time we were leaving and it did rain a lot more later in the day.
I bet you can pick out one of my favourite photos as I used them a couple of times in the mosaic/collage photos.
I hope you have been enjoying some gorgeous Fall colour around your home.
